Where Could I Go?

Some days, it's tough to even string together one coherent sentence. That seems to be when God sends a song...or three!

Living below in this old sinful world
Hardly a comfort can afford
Striving alone to face temptations call
Where could I go, but to the Lord

Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend to help me in the end

Tempted and tried, we're oft made to wonder
Why it should be thus, all the day long,
While there are others, living around us,
Never molested, though in the wrong.


Farther along, we'll know all about it.
Farther along, we'll understand why.
Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine.

Where do I go,
When there's nobody else to turn to?

When there is no foundation stable?
I go to the Rock,

I go to the Rock of my Salvation.
I go to the Stone that the builders rejected.
I run to the mountain,
And the mountain stands by me.
When all around is sinking sand,
On Christ the solid rock I stand.
When I need a shelter,
When I need a friend,
